This is one of our favorite neighborhoods south of the James. Forest Hill shares its name with the 105 acre park of the same name. It was one of the first trolley car suburbs in Richmond that travelled along Semmes Avenue to the park which featured a swimming lake and amusement park. The home styles vary but include craftsman style bungalows, American Four Squares, and even a few Sears Kit homes. This is a dream neighborhood for outdoor enthusiasts with the only urban class 5 rapids in the United States and plenty of hiking and mountain biking trails next to the river.
